We all agree that we should consume our fruits and veggies as a part of our 5-a-day, don’t we? But at times, it can be challenging to meet this target. 

So, having fruit or vegetable smoothie can be a good option, don’t you think? Because all you have to do is pick the ingredients that you love, put them in a blender and just whizz it up for a minute or two. And you can drink it in a mere five minutes ?

And with the right combinations, you can have so many choices of tasty and healthy smoothies that fulfil the recommended portion of your daily fruit intake. 

And this cucumber apple mint smoothie is one of them.

This smoothie is jam-packed with so much goodness. Starting from hydrating cucumber which has the benefit of lowering the blood pressure, and anti-inflammatory and controlling blood sugar. And then the granny smith apple that offers fabulous benefits such as a good source of antioxidants, keeping our bones healthy, and improving the immune system. Lastly, mint leaves also have amazing properties for our health. For example, relieve indigestion, improve digestive issues, increase alertness and improve the brain function, etc.  

In other words, you’ll get so many benefits from this green smoothie. It’s what you want when you need a little boost for your overall health at the same time you want something refreshing to drink and enjoy. And if you have this smoothie on a hot summer day, it’ll taste even more refreshing. Just drop one ice cube or two in your smoothie ?.

Although I use two teaspoon honey to sweeten this green drink, feel free to skip this if you wish.

Cucumber apple mint green smoothie

Try this Cucumber, apple and mint smoothie. An option for you to have a green smoothie that is not only refreshing, but it's also healthy. Jam-packed with goodness and nutrients that will tick your 5-a-day intake in one glass ?.

Total Time 10 minutes


  • 200 gr/ 7.05 oz cucumber.
  • 250 gr/ 8.82 oz green apple (I use Granny Smith).
  • 12 mint leaves.
  • 1 lime.
  • 2 tsp honey or nectar agave (optional)
  • 1 ½ cup/ 360 ml/ 12.67 fl.oz still water/ sparkling water


  1. Deseed the cucumber and cut into chunks. 
  2. Peel the apples, deseed, and cut into small pieces.
  3. Put the cucumber, apples, mint leaves, lime juice, honey, and the water in the blender. 
  4. Whizz and blend them into a smoothie.
  5. Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and put some ice cubes in if you like.
  6. Enjoy.


  • You can just use tap water/ regular water if you don’t have bottled water like still water or sparkling water at home. 
  • Using the sweetener such as honey and nectar agave can enhance the flavour of other ingredients. But feel free to skip it altogether if you wish.
